Stacey Butler, reporter for CBS2 and KCAL9 in Los Angeles, has been selected as the midlifebachelor.com Woman of the Month for December 2017!
Thanks to midlifebachelor.com reader Matt P. for nominating Stacey Butler. I have noticed Stacey when I get home early enough to watch the 5 o’clock news.
Stacey Butler has been with CBS2 news since mid-2004, and typically reports on many things happening in Southern California. Stacey went to college at Loyola Marymount University, and after graduating – she reported for ABC affiliate KRCR. From there, she worked at KSL in Salt Lake City, Utah, as a general assignment reporter.
Stacey Butler has won many awards, including the Edward R. Murrow award for covering an Olympic hopeful's battle with cancer. She won an Emmy award in 2010 for her stories in Fort Irwin, California for covering soldiers learning how to fight in Iraq. She also won a Golden Mike Award for best feature reporting on midlife women who have moved to Mexico.
Stacey has also done extensive research and reporting on the subject of polygamy. She spent a year documenting the secretive polygamous sect of Warren Jeffs in Colorado City, AZ. And she just completed her independent documentary, entitled, "BANISHED. The Lost Boys of Polygamy".
