Maria Bartiromo, of CNBC’s Wall Street Report, has been selected as the midlifebachelor.com Woman of the Month for September 2007!
I absolutely admire and adore Maria Bartiromo who anchors and co-produces the Wall Street Journal Report on CNBC. Not only is Maria exceptionally good-looking – she is also a key national business figure who has personal relationships with many prominent CEOs, athletes, entertainers, and politicians. Her reporting has the capability to move the financial markets – and that is just incredibly impressive and attractive. Many people in her field are stuffy – but not Maria … no. She brings a certain warmth … a certain hotness to the financial community. I love watching and listening to her.
Here are some Maria Bartiromo facts. She will be forty years old on September 11, 2007. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, and later attended New York University where she received a BA in journalism with a minor in economics. Prior to joining CNBC in 1993, Maria was a producer and assignment editor for CNN Business News. She hosted the program called Marketwatch, and was also a regular contributor to the morning show Squawk Box for a number of years. During the stock market boom years in the late 1990s, Maria earned the nickname “Money Honey” – which originates from a 1950s-era song. In addition to financial news reporting, Maria has made a ton of television guest appearances on such shows as the NBC’s The Today Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, and others. Maria married Jonathan Steinberg (wealthy New York investor) in 1999 – so she is not single (RATS)!!!
Here is an interesting piece of information – Joey Ramone of the band The Ramones was also a Maria Bartiromo fan. He wrote a song called “Maria Bartiromo” in which he sang Maria’s praises for her financial knowledge, and for her beauty. I, myself, am a Ramones fan – but I was not previously aware of this song so I will have to check it out. Apparently the lyrics go something like this, “Those eyes make everything okay / I watch her every day / I watch her every night / she’s really out of sight.”
Here are two interesting videos. The first is an interview with Maria Bartiromo about her leaving for Fox Businesss News in 2013 (which I found when I was updating this page to be mobile-friendly in 2017). The second video is of The Ramones performing the song, Maria Bartiromo.
