Midlifebachelor.com is pleased to announce the selection of Alycia Lane, the brand-new weekend anchor for KNBC4 in Los Angeles, as our October 2009 Woman of the Month! I don’t always watch the Channel 4 news … but I just happened to be looking for a local news channel to watch this past Saturday early evening when I switched over to KNBC. I saw this woman (Alycia), and thought to myself “WOW – she is awesome”. Admittedly, most of my girlfriends have been very light-skinned Latinas – and Alycia falls squarely into this same category … so it should be no surprise that I instantly decided to name her our next Woman of the Month.
Alycia is new to Los Angeles – and comes to us from the east coast where she enjoyed living a very full life. She had quite a bit of unfortunate controversy occur in 2007 and 2008 which we won’t repeat here because we SUPPORT Alycia, and won’t pay dividends to those who seek to tarnish her. If you learn one thing from reading all the different parts of this midlifebachelor.com website – it is that we all make mistakes, and then we learn from those mistakes and move forward. Leave the past behind – in your rearview mirror. That is what Alycia has done, and we applaud her for that. And we welcome her to Los Angeles!
Here are some details about Alycia Lane. She was born on May 10, 1972 – which makes her 37 years old. She is half Puerto Rican (on her mother’s side), and have Welsh. [The Puerto Rican half is what gives her the SPICE and also her extreme good looks.] She has a Master’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism from Northwestern University. She is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, and speaks fluent Spanish. [I speak Spanish like a 5 year old with a potty mouth.] Alycia has been married twice, and currently lives in the Hollywood Hills with her very lucky boyfriend, Chris Booker – who is roughly twenty years older than Alycia. She started with KNBC in LA in August.

Typically at this point, we attempt to analyze our Woman of the Month pick in terms of the Midlifebachelor.com 14 Types of Women.
