WOMAN OF THE MONTH – MARCH 2018

Rita Garcia, co-host of Good Day LA at Fox 11 in Los Angeles, has been selected as the midlifebachelor.com Woman of the Month for March 2018!

Rita Garcia joined Good Day LA at Fox 11 in Los Angeles in December 2017.  She replaced Steve Edwards who was an icon on that show for many years.  [Rumor has it that Steve Edwards was fired either for a sexual harassment allegation and/or that his contact renewal price was too high.]  Rita Garcia is a welcome addition to the morning team at Fox 11.  She is an adorable Latina who does a great job reporting the news – and the news, itself, is rumored to be her main passion in life.  Always good to enjoy what you do for a living!

Rita Garcia previously worked as a morning anchor at KRIV which is a Fox-owned station in Houston, Texas.  If she looks familiar to those in Southern California, that’s because prior to working at KRIV, Rita Garcia worked at KCBS2/KCAL9 in Los Angeles.  Prior to that, she was an investigative reporter for KRGV in Rio Grande Valley in Southern Texas.

We don’t know much more about Rita Garcia – other than that she grew up in Texas, and is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.  We definitely wish her the best in her new role at Good Day LA!

Here are several videos of Rita Garcia.  The first is on Fox 11 News in LA, but BEFORE she joined the team.  Maybe this was part of her interview???  The second video is a “Day in the Life of Rita Garcia”, and was made when she was still in Texas.  Great videos …
