WOMAN OF THE MONTH – JANUARY 2015 Erica Mandy (formerly Erica Nochlin)

Erica Nochlin (now Erica Mandy), freelance reporter for KCBS2 and KCAL9 in Los Angeles, has been selected as the midlifebachelor.com Woman of the Month for January 2015!

Erica Mandy is a fairly recent addition to the KCBS2 and KCAL9 news machine here in the Los Angeles area.  In doing some research on her, it does not appear that she is an actual employee of those two sister stations, but rather a freelance reporter … which I believe is a contractor (versus an actual employee).  Come on, KCBS2/KCAL9 – Erica is an outstanding reporter … make her an employee!  Give her access to health insurance and a 401K!  Hopefully I am wrong about this – else I would be embarrassed for KCBS2 and KCAL9.

We are not sure where Erica grew up – maybe she can add a COMMENT or two to the COMMENT section below if she reads this, and fill in any gaps to this article.  She graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism in 2007 – and that should make her approximately 28 years old.  She also did some graduate work at the University of Missouri – Columbia, earning a graduate certificate in Convergence Journalism, in 2009.  She worked as an anchor and reporter for newsy.com while she attended UofM.

Erica worked as an ancho, reporter, and supervising producer at KMIZ-TV in Columbia, Missouri, as well as a news reporter and fill-in anchor at KATU-TV in Portland, Oregon before coming to Los Angeles in August 2014.  We in the Los Angeles area are very happy to have her here reporting the news to us.  She is young and vibrant, and delivers the message consistently every single time I’ve seen her report on anything.  I received a report on 1/9/2017 that she got married, and is now known as Erica Mandy … so that is brand new information.  Congratulations to Erica and her new husband!
